HOW ENERGY HEALING CAN HELP WITH SELF-CARE

Energy Healing is a powerful addition to any self-care routine. It's a chance to slow down and really connect with your body, your truth and your inner wisdom. Life is so busy for most of us, that we miss the subtle cues of our body. We push ourselves on until the body forces us to slow down or stop. When we prioritise energy healing, we are choosing to be proactive and we're choose to live live in a calmer, more peaceful way. This helps us to be present, to master our mindset, deal with emotions and feelings; and we can also prevent dis-ease.

What is an energy healer?

This is something that many people ask, because energy healing covers so many modalities, Reiki, EFT, Kinesiology, Acupuncture, Reflexology, Massage and more. If you've read my 'About Page', you'll know I've been doing Kinesiology, Reiki and EFT for over a decade.

Essentially, healers are working on the belief that the physical body is surrounded by and contains energy. When we are in a healing session we channel universal energy to help bring more harmony, balance and alignment to the body and to their energy field. It can be such a powerful and beautiful process.

As an Intuitive Energy Healer, I can often feel the energy and emotions of other people within my own body. While this sounds very strange, it's actually an amazing gift. It gives me a deep level of understanding of what people are energetically and emotionally holding onto and how this is impacting their self-care. It means I can feel/sense exactly what part of your body needs attention.

What happens during an energy healing session?

This depends on the type of session you've chosen to have with me. All of my work is blended with energy healing, it's not something I can just turn off, it's who I am. So even having a conversation with me, would involve energy healing as we're intentionally connected.

If we're having a session on-line, then the energy healing would be blended into our conversation, breathwork and any meditations we did. We might also do some EFT; where we lightly tap energy points on the body.

If we're lucky enough to meet in person and I can get my hands on you, then you would lie on a comfortable therapy couch while we did a blend of Kinesiology, Reiki and EFT.

For those that are sensitive to energy, you might feel the energy moving around the body. You might feel hot, or cold or even tingling. There is no normal with this, because everyone is different.

What are the benefits of energy healing?

All of my clients say that they feel deeply relaxed after energy healing. This is also my own experience after energy work. The body and mind is perfectly aligned and balanced and the nervous system is calm. From this aligned place you can:

• Make better decisions
• Be more creative
• Feel more connected to yourself
• Reduce stress and anxiety
• Feel more intuitive and connected to your own inner wisdom
• Deepen your connection with source energy and all that is
• Experience deeper sleep

How do I find and choose an energy worker?

Choosing the right person to work with, is something I feel very passionate about. Ensuring you have trust in the person is key to your healing, but so too is their training, experience and credentials. I've heard too many stories of people getting trained in a weekend for things and then being let loose on people. I would never let someone touch my energy if they aren't experienced, trained and have a stream of testimonials to back them up!

It's okay to ask someone who they trained with, how long they trained for, are they certified, would any of their clients be willing to connect with them and confirm their testimonials. When it comes to working with me, you can ask me anything you want to know, I also have many clients who would happily vouch for me!

A good place to start is by asking people who they have used, or who they would recommend. See which names seem to come up repeatedly and then contact the people you feel most drawn to.
