Someday I’ll have time for me, do what I want, live a better life, put myself first, focus on my health, go back to school, change career, leave my relationship…. the list could go on and on and I suspect you’ve found yourself saying a few of these over the years. I know I definitely have.
It’s easy to put things into the future, because then you don’t have to deal with the changes required now. Change can mean confronting how you really feel, the reality of your life, choosing to heal, having difficult conversations and then the scariest bit……taking action.
If you’re someone who likes the familiarity and predictability of life as it is, then change is something you’ll avoid at all costs. You feel safe when everything stays the same, even if it’s draining you, boring you and emotionally hurting you!
I do understand, but life is short and don’t you deserve to enjoy every moment? Have you not given enough, or sacrificed enough of yourself already?
When we’re not living from a place of alignment and self truth, we are simply existing; totally disconnected from who we are at our core. It’s why we feel lost, stuck, exhausted, agitated, angry, resentful and frustrated. We know somewhere deep inside that we are meant for more and that we have been settling. We push the blame outward and we struggle to accept the part we played… often because we don’t understand ourselves on a deeper level. We can’t see how the life we’ve lived has made us who we are! Sure, we understand bits, but the whole picture is harder to place.
So, how long are you prepared to stay in that space? Another week, month, year, maybe a decade?
10 years is 120 months, 520 weeks or 3,650 days…. that’s how much time is lost in a decade of unhappiness, loneliness and living in a void.
If we aren’t careful life slips by and those negative emotions only intensify; until we feel like a shell of ourselves. We’re desperate for life to throw something drastic at us so that we can finally live life on our terms and be given the permission we feel we need to put ourselves first.
What if you gave yourself permission right now?
What if you drew a line in the sand and declared that from this moment on, you were no longer going to live a half life, an empty life, or a meaningless life?
How does that feel? Exciting, scary, liberating?
Part of being able to do the right thing for you, is knowing who you are at your very core. It’s understanding what made you who you are and what brought you to this exact point. Without that awareness and acceptance it can be hard to create sustained change, because we can find ourselves slipping back into old habits when life gets tough.
I want to help you understand yourself and then support you as you do the inner healing needed to create a life you love, adore and are excited by. I want you to know, accept and love yourself too, knowing that anyone who gets to be in your world is beyond lucky, because you truly are an awesome person.
If this has touched on something within you and you want to know more about how I can help then drop me a message, because life is short and before you know it another decade could pass!
