If you’re feeling low on energy, out of balance, or like something’s just not quite right in your body or mind, but you can’t put your finger on it, you’re not alone.
Many of the people I work with feel this way too. They’re navigating a thousand invisible pressures, holding it all together, and slowly burning out; physically, emotionally and energetically. That’s where kinesiology can be a powerful turning point and an incredibly helpful tool.
Kinesiology (pronounced kin-easy-ology) is a non-invasive, holistic approach that helps you understand what’s going on beneath the surface and how to restore balance. It uses a method called muscle testing to get direct feedback from your body about where stress, imbalance, or disruptions are being held. Many medical professions will use a basic form of this to gather more information from the body, such as chiropractors, osteopaths, naturopaths, physiotherapists and nutritionists.
The beauty of it?
It’s not about the presenting symptoms alone. It’s about finding and healing the root cause, which is often not what you expect it to be. Sometimes there can be emotional, nutritional, energetic, or physical aspects at play that need addressing.
The principle behind Kinesiology is that every muscle in your body is connected to an organ and an energy pathway; called a meridian. When one part of this system is out of balance; whether due to stress, suppressed emotions, toxins, food sensitivities, or structural tension, it shows up as a weakness, or sponginess in the muscle response.
Using gentle pressure, I test the muscle’s response to identify which circuits are under stress and what your body needs to restore harmony. This might include emotional release work, nutritional support, flower remedies, acupressure, chakra balancing, or suggested lifestyle changes. This is where I get to blend in my entire tool kit of training to help you!
Each session is completely tailored to you and is very unique, because your body always leads the way and it never lies.
Kinesiology is for anyone who feels low in energy, mood and is dealing with niggling aches, pains and symptoms. I tend to find that I work with many people where doctors can find nothing medically wrong and this is when we know other factors are at play.
Over the last 16 years, I have found Kinesiology to be particularly helpful with:
– Ongoing fatigue, exhaustion or burnout
– Digestive issues (like bloating, IBS, candida)
– Anxiety or emotional overwhelm
– Sleep difficulties
– Hormonal imbalances or PMS
– Food sensitivities or skin flare-ups
– Aches, pains, or feeling tense and stuck in your body
– A general sense of disconnection from yourself or your health
Many of my clients say kinesiology feels like coming home, they finally feel like themselves again and they have a calm and grounded nervous system. If this post resonates with you and you are local to Dorset (Bournemouth, Christchurch or Poole), then I would love to share Kinesiology with you.
WARNING: It’s very addictive and once you have felt your body in balance and you feel vibrant, healthy and calm, you’ll never want to go back to that old version of you!
Common Questions That I Get Asked:
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
Most people start to feel shifts after just a few sessions. Depending on how long the issue has been present and how deep the imbalance runs, you may need between 3–6 sessions (or more for chronic issues). It’s gentle work, but it’s also powerful and so you will feel a shift after only one session.
What Can I Expect In A Session?
First of all I will take a medical and lifestyle history, this will tell me so much about what is going on beneath the surface and it shows me where we need to begin. You always remain fully clothed in a kinesiology session, so I advise people to wear comfortable clothes. You will lie on my therapy couch, with support under your head and knees if needed. For the muscle testing, I will place your arms, legs or head into specific positions and then apply a light pressure against tested muscle that is being tested. Don’t worry, I always factor in your range of movement and any injuries, so don’t worry if you have limited movement. Throughout I will be chatting with you to find out more and go deeper and I’ll be conducting the necessary fixes that your body is asking for. This can involve energy healing, some talk therapy, EFT, Bach Flowers, supplements, use of my sports deep tissue massager to shift energy and more. There is NO manipulation of muscles, I do not work in the same way as a chiropractor or osteopath. This is very very gentle.
Why Do You Recommend Supplements?
Sometimes your body needs extra vitamins, minerals and other supplements to maintain health and well-being. While I may recommend certain supplements, it is always your choice whether you want to take them, I will never push anything on you.
Can Kinesiology Help With Other Things Too?
Yes it can, although I have decided to specialise in a few keys areas. These are of interest to me for personal reasons, but also because of what I see so many of my clients struggling with.
What Is The Cost?
If you would like to try a one off session, then it is £125 for the 90 minutes. If you would like to commit to 3 sessions then it would be £299.
